Dancing for AmericaTM
In July, the NMSU Dance Program is bringing in, Diane Jarmolow, an international social dance professional, from the Ballroom
Dance Teachers College to provide intensive training and exam certification to members of the
NMSU DanceSport Team. In order to get all
training and testing completed, Diane will be arriving July 8 and leaving July 20. This is a unique opportunity for our students to expand their dance
knowledge without having to travel out of the area. This professional certification process offers extraordinary benefits to dancers, deeply enriching
their dancing and teaching, and greatly expanding their career opportunities

Fundraising Efforts
In order to raise money for this unique experience, the DanceSport Team is looking for your help. On June 12, 2010, we will have two different
fundraisers. These fundraisers will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 2755 E. Idaho Ave.
1.       7am-??? Rummage Sale:   Do you have stuff in your garage or storage unit you have been meaning to get rid of but haven’t? Contact Eric
Fierro (575-496-3397), Victoria Garcia (575-649-1817), or any member of the DanceSport Team and we will be glad to get rid of it for you.  Looking
for that last “knick-knack” to complete your set? Come rummage around the Knights of Columbus parking lot on June 12 and see what you can find.

2.       11am-3pm Taco Dinner: Plates will include 3 tacos, rice, beans, lettuce and tomato for $5. Tickets are available by contacting Eric Fierro 575-
496-3397, Derek Leyva (575-640-2150), or a DanceSport Team member.  Want to help by donating some food? We are looking for ground beef,
corn tortillas, lettuce, tomato, beans, rice, etc. Contact Eric Fierro (575-496-3397) for more information. During the dinner we will have desserts
available for purchase. If you would like to donate a baked good, your donation would be greatly appreciated.

Additional ways to Help this effort might also include:
1.       Monetary Donations/Sponsor-a-Dancer:
·         Any monetary donations, you would like to make to the NMSU Dance Program or DanceSport Team are tax deductible.
2.       Frequent Flyer Miles:
·         If you have frequent flyer miles that you would like to donate to cover Diane’s flight from Oakland, CA would be greatly appreciated
(dependent upon flight schedule).
3.       Meals during the intensive:
·         Do you like to cook? Do you have a gift certificate to a restaurant you know you won’t use? Want to donate some water, fruit, or other snack
food? We need to provide meals for Diane during the time she is in town.

Thank you in advance for your assistance with this worthwhile cause.
