stronger, develop balance, and will help you with the body mechanics needed for tango.
7:00 – 8:00 Introduction to Tango and Tango Fundamentals -We offer a beginner’s introduction to Argentine Tango Class and we offer
progressive Argentine Tango Classes for those who want to learn to dance socially or who would like to become part of the performance troupe.
Introduction to Tango (Drop –In) this is an absolute beginner introduction to tango. You will learn about connection, the embrace, walking, and
some basic steps.Since it is a drop –in class, the class will be tailored to the needs of the students. Students will learn essential elements needed
to dance Argentine Tango.All levels will be taught at the same time, but each level will have its own instructor. As students gain mastery of tango
elements they will progress to more advanced levels and will have the opportunity to practice with other students during the practica. Level 1–
Connecting and walking with your partner, Ochos, La Cruzada (the cross), Basic Tango Step,Navigating the dance floor. Level 2 –Salidas,
Walkingthe line of dance using basic tango walk and basic tango step, Learning to use the ochos fluidly, Ocho cortado, Rocking to left and right
Level 3 – Variations on the walk – parallel and cross system, Variations on ochos, Variations on ocho cortados, Change of direction Musicality –

Monday Nights we are creating a new choreography to Francsisco Canaro's La Ultima Copa de Dolor to be presented at our Valentine's Party. This
choreography is for the advanced beginner/intermediate level. We need two leaders and one more follower. You will learn how to link together the
many individual steps that you have learned over the years and will become a more fluid dancer. Hope you can come. Class is at the Sunland

A social dance based off of Salsa, an internationally popular Latin partner dance.
You grab a partner and join all the other partners in a great big circle and dance together all 4 or 100 of you.
The class will be held on Saturdays at Mesilla Valley Dance by Leonard Thurman III.

BBDC CALENDAR, ALL DANCES ONMake a New Year resolution to dance more in 2015. Dancing is good for you. Not only is it exercise, it reduces stress and fulfills an emotional need to
be near another human being. Dancing is GOOD for YOU. Dancing helps your heart, brain, bones, muscles, and reflexes. JOIN and become one of us. As of today, we have 26 paid
members. Remember, we need each and everyone of you to rejoin. BBDC needs you to rejoin at the highest level that you feel comfortable with. The amount of monies collected in
dues determines how many LIVE BANDS that we can dance to during the coming year. I know some of you prefer CD's, I'm thankful for you. I like both. I just like to dance. Our dance
floor is the best in Las Cruces. Our dance bands are the best available, and each has its own style. Do decide to DANCE with us during 2015. Join and then participate at every
opportunity. It is both the gate and membership dues which keeps our club strong.
Basic Dues $25. Bronze level $50. Silver $100. Gold $150. Platinum $200. up
BBDC accepts any amount of $25. or more for dues. Come dance with us, Thursday, Jan 8. Jim Helder's Septet will furnish the music. John Guisto will be teaching the rhumba.

DANCES IN ALBUQUERQUE, NM
USA DANCE CHAPTER 5047 - First and Third Sunday Parties
Our chapter 5047 dance parties are on the first and third Sundays of the month. They are held at the Albuquerque Square Dance Center
at 4915 Hawkins Street NE in Albuquerque. Admission is $8 per person, $5 for USA Dance members, $2 college students & adults
over 80, FREE admission for ages 18 and under. Dancing begins at 6 PM and continues until 9:30 PM. Each first Sunday dance
party features a mini-lesson from 6:30-7:10; the third Sunday dance offers a dance demonstration by outstanding amateur or
professional dancers at 7:30.
USA Dance members - $5 USA Dance member college student and members over 80 yrs. old - $2 Non-USA Dance member - $8
Non USA Dance member college student and non-member over 80 yrs. old - $5 18 yrs. and under – free – must be accompanied by parent or guardian.
From I-25 take the Ellison/San Antonio exit, west on Ellison a short distance, then right on Hawkins.
Maker House - Each Tuesday in Tucson, there is a lesson in blues held at Maker House, followed by a social dance.
Desert Moon Blues - Every third Saturday in Tucson, the Tucson Blues Dancers hold a blues dance at the DanceLoft.
